Usually, when I watch a tearjerker film of any kind, the first time I watch it, I can't fully comprehend the ending. It's not like I don't understand the ending, I just go into a state of denial and grieve. When I watch or read anything, I start to enter the world of the movie/book, and I become part of its place. This, for me, is the magic of cinema; however, when something tragic takes place, I feel the pain as if the character was someone close to me.

Now, when something like this happens, and I am in my denial phase, I have to watch the film again. Sometimes such is on the same day, sometimes a month or two later. But, for the "Fault in our Stars," it was five years later. This was in part because I completely fell in love with Augustus Waters, and it just was not fair.

This movie shows exactly what I believe. It displays true love, an unconditional love that has the power to change the world.

LA LA LAND: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

You know what is funny, that every time I watch a romantic film of any kind, I can predict who the main character will end up with. I say it's like my 6th sense, but I don't think it's that special - since everyone has this 6th sense as well. This is one of the reasons I love romantic films because they are super predictable, and even so, I cry at the end of every single one of them. However, La La Land is different from any other film I have watched. It is a rollercoaster of emotions; at the start of the film, I "knew" that Mia (Emma Stone) was going to end up with Sebastian (Ryan Gosling).

Usually, any romantic film presents an unrealistic representation of life - and don't get me wrong, I love the clichês - but this is what made this film stand out. It examines our life precisely, and it shows the struggles of an artist's life and puts into perspective how hard life can be.

Now what I loved most about this film was how it explored one of society's most asked question: "What If"

What if?

A WALK TO REMEMBER:  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely love this movie. The redemption arch of the popular boy Landon Carter, the unconditional love of the young couple, who had their life cut short - the phrase "till death parts us" could not be more true. There are no words that are able to explain the way in which Landon feels towards Jamie; it is the love that he would give his life to save hers, and even though there is nothing anyone can do to save Jamie, he will do everything in his power to make their life together with the best possible.

I recommend 100% if you are in the mood to have a good cry because this love is so beautiful. This is the type of love that I strive to have in my life.

If anyone knows a Landon Carter, please, CONTACT ME; thank you.
